Default 2004 TV Poker Hand of the Year. What is your pick?

My vote goes to Dan Negreanus naked ace bluff vs Freddy Deeb to demoralize Deeb and win the Poker at the Plaza tourney.

I think that might be 2003, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think my hand is '04 either, but who cares.

I thought Alan Goering slowplaying his KK against Kirill Gerasimov was a crazy hand. Flop is 77J. Turn is a 7. He bets the pot. Kirill calls with A high. River is a 7 and Kirill wins the hand with the nuts.

The Negreanu hand from the Plaza was 2004, it occurred right after the Big One.

I vote for Barry Greenstein's reraise of 2 players with 93o to take down a pot in the 2004 WPT Tunica event. Barry himself talks about it here

the TV hand of '04 was ALMOST chip reese laying down kings against hellmuths aces on the tournament of champions.

Chip eventually called, but i every time i watch, i see that chips got this look in his eye that he knows.

I think it has to be .....dun dun dun.....( I feel bad about bringing it up again but..)

David Williams' 55 vs Josh Arieh A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
aka: "The Dark Check Heard Around the World"

It really couldn't have been set up any better.

It was SUCH a hand, that maybe you might remember at least no less than three threads talking about it, and not to mention a pretty heated David Williams sharing his thoughts.

The drama around that hand ... the situation, the players, the circumstances, the events...I give you the TV poker hand of the year.

It wasn't actually him. Dave has never posted on 2+2.

The Raymer v Murphy hand was fantastic, but my personal fave was the Negreanu hand where he flopped 3 queens with QJ.

Nothing special, but the 'chk call, chk call, push' move is something that I've now incorporated into my game.

Amazing instincts. Just shows that you dont just need "to be smart" to be a great poker player.
