Default Another full house scenario

Hi everyone. I have been reading this forum for about a month and been playing poker for about two.

How about my play in this hand? Good or bad? All replys are welcome.

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls, 5 folds.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (3.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (11.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 calls.

Final Pot: 17.75 BB

Results in white below:

I hate the fact this could've went to the river with just 1 SB put in.

Bet the flop. Checking it heads up after raising preflop screams monster to most people.

Turn is good.

I don't 3-bet this river. Your full house has just been counterfeited (!) and villian's play on the turn says he either has an 8 or an A.

deja vu.. you like this response don't you?

focus on more marginal hands if you want to improve your game. stop playing fancy with monsters and they'll work out just fine.

Any reads on Villan? Any specific aspect of your play you're worried about?

Bet out that flop! You were PFR, you have no reason to think he's going to bet for you. Also, since it's already HU, there's no point in being cute on the flop; if he raises you, 3-bet and hope he caps. Among other things, this will give you a much better idea of what he has on later streets.

Good job pounding the turn. Since he didn't re-raise PF, you can't put him on AA.

I think your 3-bet on the river is spewing. You've got to give him credit for at least ace-rag, here, he's stuck with you through everything so far.

I started to put him on AK, but since he didn't cap the river, I really don't know. Maybe 88, and on the river he's worried you have AA? Did he over-play 8x?

I don't like the fact that I have to use this response for at least one post every week!

Thanks for the feedback. The read I had on this guy was a thight- agressive one. Once i flopped my monster i thought no-one could beat me and started some kind of slow-play. Even when the A's hit on the turn and river I was blind with my own hand I didn't really care what card came up.

Well, I guess I have learnt some kind of lesson.

There was no way to get Villian out of this pot. What the above are trying to stress is that at limits as low as this ppl are coming along for the ride. You lose lots of money in the long run not getting every bet in the pot that you can.

i would bet the flop and cap it if he is willing.
the turn i would just maybe cap but most likely take it to a 3-bet ont he river i would just check/ call and be mad at my bad beat ><

WHY?? There are exactly 2 out of 169 possible starting hands that can beat our full house on the turn. AA would have raised or re-raised PF, leaving only 88 as remotely reasonable. You are seeing monsters if you don't take this turn as far as possible.

I am tempted to kick the dog and check/fold this river. There is no way we are winning this hand even 8% of the time.
