Quit saying the White Sox and the Astros play the game "the way it was meant to be played." Just because they have [censored] god dammed little fleas on the [censored] bases doesn't mean their style of baseball is better than anyone else's. Maybe you think it's more aesthetically pleasing, or maybe you're 30-40 and you grew up watching baseball in the 80's. I. Don't. Care. Every generation grows up hearing the previous generation bitch about how everything was so much better when they were younger. A gameplan based around pitching, defense, and stolen bases does not represent all that is good and holy in baseball. So, just because you have a hard on for the suicide squeeze, don't tell me that any style of baseball is the "right one."
PS: The White Sox were fourth in the American League in homers this year, and would've been higher if Frank Thomas (12 homers in 12 PAs) hadn't gotten hurt so much.

The only reason I think it is better baseball is because it takes so much more strategy utilizing the different aspects of the game which alot of station to station typically AL clubs don't use. Playing the game using more strategy makes it better in my opinion.

Your buying into the hype. The reason the Sox play a better brand of baseball- or the "way it was meant to be played" is that they do what the situation dictates. If they need to bunt a guy over anyone can do it- if they swing away they can hit the hell out of the ball aswell. As an Indians fan i watched one of the best rotations and best bullpens fall short this year because they couldn't get runs in. They lost tons of 1 run games - 5 or 6 to the white sox alone becuase they couldn't sacrifice/steal or what the situation called for. I don't know how many time i had to watch Roger Dorn not get a bunt down on ly to hit into a dp the next pitch.

Despite: a) playing in a hitter's ballpark b) hitting the fourth most home runs in the AL and c) stealing the third most bases in the AL The white sox clocked in at 4.57 rpg, better than only five teams in the american league.

in my book, the reason that the Astros play baseball the way it's meant to be played is because they do it in an Astros jersey.
Other than that, like you said, the right way is the way that gets the win. Im kinda sick of hearing oldtimers talking about it.
