Default Where to slow down? (if any)

Villain is relative unknown, ~30 hands on him. PFR = 3, VPIP = 48.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, CO calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, CO calls.

Thought: Easy enough decision

Flop: (4.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, CO calls.

Thought: My hand has a good chance of being the best.

Turn: (3.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO caps</font>, Hero calls.

Thought: Bingo, he probably has an Ace as well.

River: (11.25 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises</font>, Hero calls.

Overall thoughts?

Final Pot: 15.25 BB

call the turn raise and check call the river. if he has an ace - look at the board - you're splitting. you are basically never ahead after that turn raise (unless he is bluffing). at best (and often enough to call down), you are splitting this pot.

so your 3-bet

1. pays rake
2. pays villain
3. makes villain fold

yeah pretty stupid play. for some reason i couldn't stop myself from thinking he didn't have an ace. i never even took into consideration paying the rake. still learning i guess. i flame myself.
