You're just about 50/50 to an overpair. Factor in the possibility he's on a semi-bluff with overcards and I'd call. Also, I don't think you need to lead out with a pot size bet here. Not a big deal but it will help when you lead out on a bluff or semi-bluff for a smaller bet as well.

In a cash game, it's a very easy call.

10050 in the pot. You have 7650 more to call, at worst you are a coin flip here IMO.

If he has A-A or K-K with no heart, you are actually a slight favorite. If he had J-J, 10-10, 9-9 with no heart, even more slightly big of a favorite.

It's very possible he's making a move here with A-K, A-Q, A-J, A-10 of hearts, and your still a slight favorite.

In a tournament? Stacks are still deep.. It's your decision. If you think you are better than these guys at your table, you can fold and find a better spot.. If you think this might be the only opportunity to get alot of chips, go for it.

Personally.... I might fold this in a tournament.. I hate putting my entire stack and tourney life on a coinflip. Very easy ring game call though.

I prefer the Phil Hellmuth "Survivalist" methodology in tournaments. (Although not quite to the degree Phil takes it!)

Pretty poor if you fold here. You are close to flipping versus an overpair, if not the slight favorite. He could be doing this with an inferior flush draw, a straight draw, an overpair, an inferior eight, many things. Who knows, I've seen pocket 7s make this type of play.

So that's an automatic call in my book. Hope it turned out ok, I'll read the rest of the thread now.

very easy call. you are getting almost 1.5 and there is some non-zero chance that you are ahead...maybe 15-20% of the time you are ahead. When you are not ahead, you have 14 outs most of the time, 11 sometimes, 12 sometimes. Either way, it's a really easy call, cash game or tourney.

The second hand? ugh. I think that's time for a cred fold preflop.
