i dont think it's a value raise. you're most likely getting 3bet. you're most likely not getting a free card. TP is not looking that great on this flop.

But you have an OESD to go along with your TPGK.

i'd discount that by 50% because of how often you're splitting

Yeah, I think you actually might have enough equity here to raise the flop for value. You're way ahead of AJ and AT, which could easily be betting here.

I don't want a free card. I am raising the flop and betting a non-scary turn card. He has top pair with second best kicker and no one else raised preflop. He most likely has the best hand and needs to protect it.

reread my post in context.

I think you're splitting 50% of the time you hit your straight.

you are in last position in a 14bb pot - a raise does nothing to protect your hand. you think someone is folding here??

edit: of course I mean 14sb pot

I find the biggest flaw in my game is not letting go of top pair in a hand like this. I pay people off all the time with 2 pair or better.

why not raise this flop?

top pair + open ended str8 draw, surely you want to build a big pot especially with 3 players effectively comitted to calling your raise.

If your 3-bet i think you'll have to put your plan into action for the river, but betting this flop and seeing how it goes from then on would be my play.
