More computer help please...USB ports.

With the purchase of my 2001fp, my laptop is now one USB port short.

According to my google searches, I can add more USB ports by buying a USB hub.

Does anyone use a USB hub? Is there anything that I should know before I buy one (other than 2.0 vs. 1.1)? Are USB hubs pretty standard equipment? If I buy one at Radio Shack, will I be satisfied?

Any and all input is welcomed. Thanks.

Yes -- USB hubs are pretty standard. Almost anything should work fine.

But I wasn't sure how getting a 2001fp would leave you with fewer USB ports, as it has 2 USB ports on the side.

Did you connect the USB to the 2001FP? Doing this gives you 4 more ports, as the 2001 acts as a USB hub. If you only need 1 slot, just unplug the USB connection to the monitor.
