I check/fold river. sfer thinks I\'m dumb.
9/18 Commerce with sfer to my left. We've been playing donktasticly all night and we can't stop. 2 limpers to an LP Asian donk with British teeth who raises. I 3-bet J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB, sfer is disappointed his cards aren't suited and folds, limpers call, Asian guy caps. (17 SB)
Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], I bet, limpers call, Asian guy finds a $100 bill in his wad of $1 bills and calls. (10.5BB) Turn is 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or something, I bet, all call again. (14.5BB) River is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], I check, limper 1 checks, limper 2 who is unknown but is obviously very loose bets, Asian donk folds, I fold?

If you're the very loose guy and see the bull in the china shop (you) check now, another guy check and the only guy left behind you hasn't raised since the flop when he probably would've if he had a big diamond, wouldn't you consider taking a stab at this nice little pot sometimes?

call and swear [/ QUOTE ] What he said. And what the other guy said too, if you're the last to act, wouldn't you be getting pretty good odds to bet with ANY two cards on that board if your opponents will fold? Did you not bet the river because you were worried about being bluff-raised by the LAG?

All of this bet the river stuff applies less in games where folding to a river bet is easy. I have no idea whether the player fits the description, but folding this on the river is often a lot easier and safer in a B&M game.
But yeah, I would bet the river. Hand is too good. -Michael

I'd bet my grandmother's left nut your beaten right now. But, given the size of the pot, you should call and curse on the off chance that nobody has a diamond (3 players, it's possible). However, if your going to call anyway, you should definately bet to try and get a small diamond to fold. If you get raised here, you are definately beaten and should probably fold(even though I would probably foolishly call). I'm bettin' this pot. Sorry grandma!

ok, so the consensus is bet and fold to a raise? Sounds good to me, will get some better hands to fold and costs the same as check-call.
