Kurn,

I'm not sure that 4-colors would help at Foxwoods. Why?? ....... Have you noticed that in the last 2-3 years, that is has become increasingly difficult to tell red from black at the poker tables?

I think that Foxwoods has changed they type of lights that they use. My guess is that they've gone to a less expensive bulb, which has a lower color frequency spectrum, and this is causing the problem.

I have a vision problem (which is why I don't play stud live), so I'm with you on that one, too. I am, however, highly senstive to shades of color, which has made the red/black issue apparent to me at Foxwoods.

I'd also agree with Mason that the risks far outweigh the rewards.

Online is a different story, as one doesn't have to worry about flashing cards or hole-peekers.

I have noticed that, and I don't think it's the lights because the hearts look black even in the keyhole section with bright daylight shining in. Also, next to the hideous pink backs on some of the decks, nothing can look red.

Did you say "bright daylight shining in"?

I often DREAM of playing poker in a room with exterior windows.

At one time the Gardena, California cardrooms had such windows. Then somebody shot in through them and that was that.

ummmm.....those windows are HIGHLY tinted...It wouldn't surprise me at all if the filtering they provide also blocks out the full color spectrum.

I have no definitive proof.....just a guess.

Whenever I visit Foxwoods and play poker while my Mom plays bingo/slots I enjoy the view into the forest but every time so far some regular asks that the blinds be closed. Bummer .

One of the casinos here (CO) has some nice big windows with a view the hillside.

If they would just lower the rake on the weekend I might play there more.
