Default AA Hand, rivered top set on straight card

No reads. Not even HUD stats, sorry.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) converter

Stacks:
BB ($27.65)
Hero ($24.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.10) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2, BB calls $2.

Turn: ($6.10) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4, BB calls $4.

River: ($14.10) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7...

Pot was 14, with hero having 17.15 in stack and villain having 20.65. Pot is currently 21. Villain could push to make it $37, and it would be $10 to hero.

Do you guys agree with my bet size on the river? I certainly call a push here, right?

--Dave.

I'm also curious as to what you guys thought of my turn bet size.

bet more on the turn for value & charge them backdoor clubs!

Yeah, call a push, if he has KQ =[

I'd consider pushing the reamining $17 into the $14 pot, you're missing too much value by not betting more on that river.

I think you could get by with $9 or $10 on the river, and call a push. If he called you down with KQ, oh well.

Your actions are fine, but your raises are not high enough. Your preflop raise was good. Thats the standard raise here. postflop, i agree with your pot size bet, but on the turn you should of bet the pot again. I dont see any cards here that can have you beat, so attack him hard. On the river as well. You only bet 1/2 pot. I would atleast, if not more bet 3/4 pot. And calls if he pushes as well.

David

I would make a PSB on this turn to charge straight draws and backdoor flush draws and of course to punish weaker one pair hands. Once we get to the river, I am not folding. I would bet more on the river probably 10 clams.

If the villain called you down with KQ, tell him merry x-mas.
