Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

MP is pretty TAG
CO is TAG but probably a bit overaggressive PF and postflop
button is very loose passive

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Hero is just getting 5:1 and there's the possibility of a cap. It's a pretty close decision.

I dont play 10-20, but isnt betting your 4th highest pair into preflop raisers in a big pot sort of silly? Even if they have overcards they likely wont fold. This hand seems like a reverse implied odds nightmare.

The problem I have when I do this is I get folds sometimes, predictable calls sometimes, predictable raises sometimes, and unpredictable raises from a hand I beat often enough to question whether the line is really worth it. I imagine you are bet/folding the turn but calling down with a very good read might be okay.

Also it's a subtle point but when a good player bets into 4 on the flop there is a much less chance of an unpaired hand.
