Two hands from Oneida $35+1R+1Add
Final table of Oneida Bingo and Casino's (Green Bay, WI) Monday night tournament. 140 people started. First place gets paid $1800, second is 1100, third is 510, fourth 409, fifth 375, sixth 315, seventh 250, eighth 180, ninth 148, tenth is 109.
Hand 1 Blinds at 5,000/10,000 7-handed Notes: -Hero is about fifth in chips at the time; Passive big stack is BB with about 150,000. Aggressive but smart, thinking chip leader with about 300,000 is just to Hero's left. Hero (67,000) is UTG and dealt QJs. Hero????? Hand No. 2 5-handed Hero has about 38,000 remaining after posting BB of 20,000. MP mini-raises to 40,000. Folded to Hero who has Q4 of hearts. Hero??? All comments would be appreciated. |

Re: Two hands from Oneida $35+1R+1Add
Hand 1: All-In or Fold here. You say you are 5th in chips, but your stack relative to the blinds is key here. If you have greater than 10K chips, then just fold...And I would be inclined to fold. Calling is not an option as any re-raise means trouble as you are probably dominated UTG, which is bad news.
Hand Two: Judgement call, strength of player... you're SS, but ideally you would want to have a stronger hand, because the miniraise from MP is asking you to push with blinds that high. I would fold here as well... |

Hand 1: Hero folds. QJ is easily dominated, you can't call if reraised, you have poor position, any raise you make has to go through the chip leader.
Hand 2: I think you have to play. I'd try a stop n' go here. FOITNOF, -D. |
