Re: NL Hold\'em (or so they call it) variant
if you play whatever game you want and bring a 30-pack every night, you'll get invited back. it'll be worth it.

Re: NL Hold\'em (or so they call it) variant
I agree completely... but I would think there is a balance somewhere. There are ways to play looser than normal or at least give the illusion of gamble without playing 90% of your hands just because you feel like you are forced to.
I am pretty sure we are saying the same thing and this thread is not that interesting so I am going to go away now |

Re: NL Hold\'em (or so they call it) variant
Play any two suited cards, any pair, any two broadways, and any non suited connectors above 56. If everyone is playing at least as loose as you are this is not -ev because everyone has bad hands. Get your edge by playing correctly after the flop.
Another option is to play like a wild man when you first sit down, you'll either build a big stack or go broke. At that point you can tighten up and play solid poker and they'll just remember you being a maniac. This should get you invited back. |
