Re: Q10h on the button 10-20
Preflop: Easy raise after limpers in a preflop-passive game on the button.
Flop: I'd have a tough time re-raising as you could be out-kicked. Turn: Easy. River: What type of player is the BB? I need a read to fold, the pots too big but I'm close to folding. Peace, Joe Tall |

Re: Q10h on the button 10-20
You like a raise on the button with the q10h and limpers?
I mainly raised to see a free one and make it tough for a gut shot to call. Weak Tight in the BB I was fairly certain he had a str8 but the pot was too big to just let it go without a look. He showed down the J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] paying me off in Sklansky dollars with his flop call but stacking the real dollars in front of him with a phat turn/river card. |

I raise suited broadway cards on the button after a family of limpers. Weak Tight in the BB After all that action, a W/T bets into you. I make the fold. Peace, Joe Tall |

Re: Q10h on the button 10-20
Pre-flop I would raise. I tend to raise JTs KJs etc, in spots like this as well as in the BB. In the BB QTs would be close. These are value raises against bad players who are playing unplayable hands. If thay are reasonable players who just happened to have all limped, I may be less inclinded to raise.
On the river, it is extreamly rare, since it's coming from a new place, that your opponent will not have a Jack. If he is typical or weak he will have it nearly 100% of the time. |
