Re: What MTT for bankroll
Pokerstars $10, $5, and $3 MTT's often have gigantic fields that you want.

Re: What MTT for bankroll
I think $3 for 1000 player tournaments.
With that bankroll I think your better off playing in $10 and $5 tournaments with 50-100 people. You will also make a lot more final tables (the prizes will be much smaller). Don't play rebuy tourneys on a tight bankroll. GL |

Re: What MTT for bankroll
Ive recently started to play MTTs with a similar bankroll myself.
UB, Interpoker and Pokerroom offer quit often freezeout MTTs with 5 and 10 dollar buy-ins and fields of 150-300. I have finished one first and one second so far. The first prize at these levels are in the range of 150-500 dollars. At Party and Stars there seem to be fewer MTTs offered at this level, and the number of players are gigantic. So far I have been unable to be at a finale table in these tournaments with 800-1000 participants. Does other have suggestions on where to find low buyin freezeouts with smaller fields? |

What bankroll do you suggest for rebuys?
Cheers. |

Re: What MTT for bankroll
I play bugsysclub.com
as well as stars, and party. Bugsy has smaller fields and very deep stacks (10,000 chips or 200XBB). They have a series of $2+$.2 with 100 players every day. The site is friendlier than the other ones. The site does have some drawbacks, or advantages depending on your play. 1) No time bank (25 sec max per move) 2) No import into pokertracker 3) No convenient hand history log other than cut and paste. |

Re: What MTT for bankroll
Treat the entry fee as 3 times the initial buy-in.
(one rebuy and an add-on). Personally, I don't want to have to play like a drunken monkey to maintain my stack sizes with the other drunken monkeys. Oh yeah, Bugsy has no rebuy tournaments. |

Re: What MTT for bankroll
I think Pokerroom is perfect for you. They have plenty of small buy-in MTTs with 200-300 weak players. If you play 40 or so MTTs there, you should be able to pull at least a few high finishes. Keep this up until you have a comfortable bankroll.
An even better idea (which I have forgotten recently) is to have your bread and butter game on the side. Mine being SNGs and baby NL ring games. Force yourself to put in a few hours there for every MTT you play. If you were a winning player to begin with, this will prevent you from going broke while you learn MTTs. Most importantly, make sure you write down important hand numbers (no easy way to get them from PR), and post your questions on the forum, GL |
