The 6000, 9300, XPS Gen 2 should all do you fine for 4-tabling. But you need to get the WUXGA screen.

The 6000 is the smallest and most "portable" of the bunch. I have a 6000 and I like it alot. A friend of mine has the 9300 it is sweet as well...but it is bigger.

How is the WUXGA different from the WSXGA? (dell quotes below)

15.4 inch UltraSharp WSXGA+ LCD Panel [add $125 or $4/month1] Dell Recommended

15.4 inch UltraSharp WUXGA LCD Panel [add $175 or $6/month1]

Never mind, I figured it out. You need WUXGA to get 1600*1200 resolution.

Is WUXGA only available on the widescreen laptops? It seems they won't let you select it with the 600m notebook. I really want something light and portable.

WUXGA = WIDE UXGA = 1920*1200
UXGA = 1600*1200

So you only need UXGA realy, although they seem rare at dell (never found one when I browsed it quickly).

Well the Inspiron 600m, which is supposed to be very light and compact, apparently offers SXGA, but not XGA. Is that gonna do it for me?
