Default Cheapest place to sleep in AC?

Sorry if this is too off topic for this forum.

My friends and I are making a 5 hour drive there tonight and would rather stay at a cheap motel or hostle (were all poor college students) than drive all the way back the same night. I'm sure plenty of you live around there or visit frequently and might have some idea.

Thanks a lot!

lol never happened to me, had to be an experience. however i live very close.

check out the poker rates the hotels offer there usually a little high on weekends. There are also plenty of hotels in the area and motels, do a search on google for hotel prices in ac.

A couple of the flea bag joints I've stayed at are the El Greco and The Crown, both on Pacific Ave. During the week they're both about $50 a night. For a weekend they'll probably get you for $80-$90.

I did that once when I went to AC for my first time, all alone >_>

It was summertime, my car is a leather 2 door with a humped back seat and no AC, not to mention the garage stunk of urine. Never again!

Driving 5 hours on no sleep's for suicidals.

I've stayed at the Flamingo Inn (?) that's right near the Trop. It's not great, but better than a few of the options that have been mentioned so far. It's the place that has the Indian Restaurant right in the middle of it. It was around $60 in the off season

Good luck

A few weeks ago I got an email from the Sands that they had rooms for (I think) $77 if you have one of their player cards.
