65 players left, 60 players get paid. UTG +2 is new to the table, and the other two limpers have been fairly willing to fold to pre-flop aggression. I have been playing fairly tight, and I assume they have noticed this. Is this a push?

While there is some argument for pushing with a relatively short stack here. There seems to be a very good chance that you will be called by UTG+2 given his stack and a lack of read. The pot odds could bring in the button and/or the SB, now your facing at best a ton of overs. If this were heads up against only one of these opponents, then a push is more reasonable. In this situation I am just glad that I get to go fishing for my set for free. That's just me, I could be wrong.

I think you need to push- your M is already low, you've got less than 10xBB; yes you're behind to a lowly Q5o, and you're in trouble if more than one person calls, but just hope the two weaklings fold and UTG calls with overs so he can double you up. (This analysis assumes you want to do more than limp into the $$.)

Why is this close? Chances are you have the "best" hand, and there is so much in the pot to be won.

You have FE and probably the best hand in a pot that would be really nice to take, so I push.

thanks for the replies everyone, i also thought that this would be a push, and in fact, i did push. i suppose that i'm curious if there is a situation where a person would choose to fold until the money, and then begin to gamble. It seems like a weak line to take for this point in the tournament, but what if I know that I do not play anywhere near the level of the better players in this tournament? what if i had gotten to the bubble merely by luck, and do not expect to do all that much better even if I double through here. money for 20th is not that much more significant that 60th, but 60th is much better than 65th. should an honest evaluation of my own chances and skill play into this decision? or do I need to maintain the mindset that if I double up, my equity in the tournament will be that much greater? I know that even with doubling up, I will be just around or below the average stack for the tournament, and will not gain all that much chip position on my table. at least, if i double up, i'll still feel like i need to make moves in order to move up reasonably high in the placing. although, i suppose i hadnt given consideration to the additional 1200 dead money if i assume that i will only get one caller. anyway, long story short, I have no idea what I'm doing, and appreciate all of the help I get reading this forum. thanks again.
