Default BB play - good spot to gamble?

I got 107c in the big blind, second round of a maniacal $5 sitngo (2 players already gone).

Unraised, I check with a few callers.

Flop comes 10-9-7.

Best play to make?

I check-raised allin, and crazy bettor had 8-x. Turn came a J and I was gone.

Good spot to gamble?

Default Re: BB play - good spot to gamble?

how big was his bet relative to the pot?

if it was the anything up to the pot then i'd check/raise what the pot is now and see what he does.

i would prefer betting out first of all though, betting about or just above the pot to deny odds to the chasers. it's hard to elicit correct play in others just by betting at these levels though...
