Default Bubble Hand: Trip deuces on non-threatening board, River play?

44 left, top 40 get paid. New table no reads. I just laid down AK to a large reraise preflop, I showed villain showed KK, I'd like to believe that would help engender a tight image, but this is a 5 dollar multi.

No reads on villain, his quick call of my turn check-raise had me worried a great deal. Critique on all streets appreciated but I am most perplexed as to what to do on the river.

If you just layed down AK preflop and villain in this hand saw it and villain is aggressive at all then I'd check the river hoping that villain sees it as weakness and bluffs into you. If villain is pretty passive then just value bet the river.

I'm curious as to what you put villain on here.

Hmm, im guessing either two high diamonds since he is just calling hoping to hit one of them or the draw. Maybe even A10 but I highly doubt that. He would have raised then. Value bet the river so he calls you with his busted draw. That's what I would do.

if my math is correct:

Pot's about 8k right now, Villain has already invested 3k and has 4k behind.

Problem is in the $5s, it's so hard to put an opponent on a hand because he could anything. Flush draw, AT-QT, 99-77 (I gotta think villain raises JJ or better here PF).

So I would treat it as though I had the best hand. Problem is, how do you get the rest of his chips? If he has a moderate made hand, you value bet; if he has a draw, you check to let him bluff.

I don't know... maybe a bet of 1500-2000? He'll almost certainly call with any made hand, and it may even entice him to come over the top to push you out. It's small enough that his stack isn't hopeless if he calls and is wrong.

I'd like to make a small luring bet that he has to call just given the odds.. that way if he has anything he'll look you up.. and he could also go over the top..

After the villain called my check-raise I was thinking I might be able to extract some value on the river from AT,KT type hands. But the way villain smooth-called on every street had me really worried, my read was either AdTd, A2 or TT or 66.

I value bet river for 2k, and he instapushed. I reluctantly called and he showed TT for the nuts. Squeeked into the money. In hindsight I think I might have led out on the flop or check-raised the flop to find out where I was at. Any comments on previous streets?

Thanks for all of the posts guys
