Cool tech stuff
This may not excite some of you but it makes the inner-geek in me excited. I picked up a new phone over the weekend, the Motorola E815. Basically it's a small laptop in a phone shape, well it takes external memory called TransFlash or microSD. What freaks me out is the SIZE of the freaking chip, it is the size of my index fingernail and still holds 256meg! Here is a grainy picture of mine next to a pen
 And here is the card next to a normal SD card  Unreal. From what I've read they should have a 1 gig by summer 2006. Man I think my first computer had a 5 gig hard drive in it.

When did you get your first computer? Mine had 256 MB in 1995.

The first one I built myself was in 1998, before that I always used my work one. I forget the specs, but it's still sitting in my basement, I should fire that puppy up some day and look at all my old porn [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

it looks like a mini sd card. They already have a 1 gig available and it runs around 110 in the stores and 80 on ebay. I'm hoping they have a 2 gig by spring so I can finally turn my phone into the mp3 player it wants to be.

It's about half the size of miniSD, thats what I find so amazing. Here they are side by side.
 I got the card to make the phone in to an MP3 player. It sounds great.
