Default ESPN.com chat with Erick Lindgren

FYI:

On Thursday at 4 p.m. ET, former WPT Player-of-the-Year and author of WPT: Making the Final Table, Erick Lindgren will log on to take your questions in chat.

Lindgren, the high school all-star athlete from Burney, CA, achieved stardom on the Tour with two victories and a fifth place finish in WPT's Season Two, netting just under $2 million for the year.

The 27 year old learned his craft by juggling as many as seven online games simultaneously and playing cash games in casinos before joining the World Poker Tour. Along with his cohorts Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari "The Poker Brat Pack" represent the best of the new generation of poker players.

Yes! They actually asked my question to Erick!

Greg (Atlanta, GA): What are your thoughts on the WPT's policy to increase the blinds for the televised final tables? It seems like all the play is taken out when the money gets biggest because of this policy.

Erick Lindgren: (4:00 PM ET ) It seems that the people at home really like to see the all-ins. Coupled with the fact that the WPT doesnt want to pay overtime for its workers, its led to that structure. Its a shame to play 4 days of post flop poker and then have it all decided by 5-6 hours of all-in poker.
