i call, i think its really easy to put you on AK since 4.00 is only 4BB, and most people dont want to flip a coin for that much, at that limit

i dont think i push all in pre flop with A's or K's, i would reraise with those hands, but not all in
knowing you can win more it their hand hits the flop, and the drastic over bet is beggin not to be called. With A's i would made it 15 putting distance, but allowing a call

but...better to lose 4 than all if you think you have a great read

hope it helps

My reasoning was that the only hand I am really that far ahead of is JJ. I know lots of people "over protect" those mid high pairs and thats what I was considering.
I know I am a favorite over AK but it isnt that huge compared to the huge dog I will be when he has KK or AA
His low PFR(3%)makes me think he is only raising with AK and the big pairs including JJ.
I was considering smooth calling the original raise, but that always creates tricky flop situations. Over pairs can be tricky to get away from on the flop.
He may have thought he had a customer and thats why he put all his money in.
Thanks for the reply.

$4 is 8bb or 4 PT bb not sure if thats what you meant

i pushed all in in one of these situations, some LAG raised 2.50 in a .50bb game, and i knew he had nothing so i went all in with 99 for 43$

he called with KQ and (yes he did) and spiked a K on the turn

that's the reason behind call

but folding is not that wrong of a call, cant lose what you dont put in the middle
