I scooped a massive limit Omaha8 pot live once with a pair of aces. Only reason I made to the river in the midst of all the action was I new to Omaha and misread my hand.

The action in the hand was fairly standard actually, and a good argument for using position and pot control to win when everyone misses.

The game was 10-25, everyone was pretty deep. There were 4 or 5 guys in for 150$ preflop. The flop came down something like 247 and two guys got their stacks in after a few raises. One guy had 3568, the other had 3567, brick, brick, and the sevens hold up.

I look at him and decide he's not that strong and reraise the pot. The loose player now pushes his 800 pound stack in the pot. The original better folds and I call. Loose player Shows KQJ [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Turn is a six of clubs and river is a 2 of hearts and I win the pot with my pair of sixes. Loose aggressive guy is irate now as he claimed he passed 86.
