Running poorly, concept check!
I'm in the midst of a 100+ swing in the last 10k hands. I just feel like I'm playing poorly. No convertor since its more a concept.
Hero in the SB has JTo 3 loose donks limp, I complete, BB checks. Flop comes QT6 - I check, checked to button donk (61/16/.71) who bets. I raise, correct? If it gets heads-up I check/call my way to showdown? |

100bb swing? Man you will make that back in one hour.
Bet the flop. |

I like the checkraise, Too many hands will peel if you bet the flop and your hand is vulnerable

Re: Running poorly, concept check!
100 big bet downswings are absurdly common in short-handed, so you'll need to get used to the feeling. Bet the flop.

Re: Running poorly, concept check!
Ok, I fully understand the 100 BB is a normal variance.
Can someone verbalize WHY you would bet the flop? |

Re: Running poorly, concept check!
You have 2nd pair and a decent kicker on the flop and you have no position. You do not want to get it checked through with your marginal hand. If it is two bets back to you then you can muck the hand. If your bet is called you can bet/fold the turn UI. Being out of position, you need to know where you stand.
