Default Arrive Vegas tomorrow - 1st stop?

Arriving Vegas tomorrow around noon - lunch and settle into hotel room (The Hotel at MB) for an hour. What poker room should I hit first at this time of day. MGM, Mirage, Wynn, etc? I generally play low limit up to 10-20.

"Settle in for an hour" ?? What's up with that? You have no time to waste. Take a seat at the Mandaly Bay $4/8 for a warm up session before you even think about setting foot in that sweet suite!

For afternoon games, the Bellagio is almost always lively. I like Mirage around the 6:00 p.m. hour. I wouldn't hit up MGM until the evening. That place doesn't really get rock'n until about 10 p.m. So, your schedule might look like: Mandalay warm-up game, then Bellagio, Mirage, and MGM in that order.

Best of luck at the tables!

MB is usually running a 4-8, but I don't think it goes higher too often.

Luxor and Excalibur only have really low games.

So, unless you want to go for the walk to MGM, you're getting into a cab anyway, so why not Bellagio or Mirage?

Oh, and by the way -- THEhotel is great. Make sure to get a high floor facing the strip if you can (you want to clear Luxor). And if you want a nice (but expensive) dinner, try Mix, and ask to sit outside.

TheHotel is great. Stayed there last time I was in Vegas and it was awesome. The flatscreen in the main room was fantasic... everything was. TheHotel dumps out into the MB casino right at the sportsbook and poker room. Could make for an easy run to the tables. Send a trip report when you get back.

At the excalibur, you get to spin the wheel when your aces are cracked.

Mirage tourney starts at 7 pm. Go hit up a satellite and while you're waiting for them try out their $8/16.

That's usually the story of my first day in Vegas (like to go Thursday-Sunday too)

Mirage doesn't spread 8/16?
They have a 6/12 game.

AVP -

Thanks for the advice but I'm not a big fan of MB's mini blind structure unless the table is full of drunk bachelor party guys!!

I'm hitting Fix at the Bellagio tomorrow for dinner - any experience with this low rent diner ??

Olive's is really good Italian. Haven't tried the others at Bellagio tho.

Play 4/8 or 8/16 at Bellagio to work up an appetite.
