Re: NCAABB Unranked vs Ranked 12/06
Yea, line is moving towards -2 now. I was hoping the public would help me out today...should have taken it at -1 -105. Oh well.

Saw it moving and grabbed it at -1.5. It moved to -2 shortly after. I hate when work gets in the way.

Re: NCAABB Unranked vs Ranked 12/06
The Sagarin ratings have Iowa just less than 3 points better than Northern Iowa. The typical sagarin adjustment is 4 points for home court. Northern Iowa has a better than average home court advantage. So, the sagarin is with picking Northern Iowa, but just barely.

Re: NCAABB Unranked vs Ranked 12/06
I gotta love any ranking system that has Illinois #1 (straight W-L, no margin of victory included ranking)
yeah...it's quite early, but any and all info on a game helps |

Re: NCAABB Unranked vs Ranked 12/06
Glad I locked this in at a pick'em, then. Bodog indeed has this at NI -2 right now.
For what its worth, for those following along at home, I rarely ever bet on NCAA regular season (the big dance is a whole different story) except for "action plays" (i.e. going to watch a game and want action). I'm just blindly following this trend, because I know the value in doing so. The only thing I know about this game in the slightest is that a close friend of mine is a huge Iowa fan, and I'll be exceedingly pleased when I can rub this win in his face Also FWIW, I did not play on UNC earlier in the season, as I believe the trend did not apply as UNC is a well-known and thus well-hammered team already. |
