I played 2/4 at Harrah's at 8am Saturday. Won 60 BB in 3 hours. I'll be back.

I'm no mathematician (nor a particularly good player) either...but it was sure fun.

Agreed. Jamming pots blind and being called down by jack high on a coordinated board is super fun. Its wonderful.

Or capping pre-flop in a 5-way pot with 72o and winning at showdown with a pair of 2s. My roommate did this when the initial raise and 3-bet came from myself and our other friend at the table (incidentally, the one who drove us). Much laughter and threats of having to walk home ensued.

I found 4/8 at the Trop very different from 2/4. Many players play 2/4 only because the casino doesn't offer .02/.04. The same isn't true of 4/8.

I don't see much difference and I play 4/8 at the Trop all the time. I only play 2/4 when waiting for a 4/8 game to open up. I think both are huge fish-o-rama games. The players in 4/8 are tiny bit more knowledge of the game, but that's only compared to the newbies that are playing for the first time in a casino. The only real big difference I've noticed is that in a 2/4 game, it will be capped sometimes before it even gets to late position. But I have seen 5 or 6 see a capped flop in 4/8. Let me put it this way, I don't consider myself to be anywhere near as good as a lot on this board, but I've won $1,500+ in a weekend being tight/aggressive playing 4/8.
