Default A crazy 75-150 game

I usually play online, but yesterday I decided to go to the casino. There was a 5 handed 75-150 game going on (6 handed w/ me). There was one pro who played correctly, and the 4 others were raising and re-raising to no ends. About 80% of the time we capped pre flop. Flop is usually capped too. Turn and river aren't as crazy.

In the S&M advanced it says in that in truely maniac games you wait for AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AKs, AQs, AJs, and AK. However this game is short 6 handed. And often is 5 handed when one of the drunks playing sits out to hit on the cock tail waitresses. So having said that, if you play tight you are going to get blinded to DEATH.

Is this game profitable?

Sorry... idiots I thought that you guys were smart enough to perhaps explain why it is profitable. How? What is the strategy?

nice, ask for advice, then insult those from whom you seek it.

here's a question for ya...maybe it'll help you understand the situation better,

is poker a game of mistakes?
is it corect to cap preflop w/ 80% of your holdings (or put in 4 bets w/ 80%)?

now ask the question again, is the game profitable?

I think a better question to ask yourself is, "Am I a douchebag?"

I'm missing something here...

You write:

This isn't as true as people think for a 6 handed game. Even better you write:

So these guys put in way too much action early, and then fail to protect their hands on the big streets, when great players apply the most pressure. Yeah, I'd say the game is only beatable for about 500 bucks an hour, and even a monkey could win in this one.

Of course not, and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying.

How can you expect to have an edge in a game when 4 or 5 drunk guys are auto-capping the first two betting rounds?

If you wait for big hands, you'll find yourself blinded away, then when you finally get a monster, it will almost certainly get cracked, so you have to get in there and mix it up with them. It would be like playing roulette, you put your money down and just hope you win at the end of the hand, but since there are 5 of them and only one of you, they will win most of time.
