I think a better question to ask yourself is, "Am I a douchebag?"

[/ QUOTE ]

at least now i see which camp you seem to be in.

Do you actually play poker or is it just a fun way for you to spend a lot of money? I can't imagine someone who posts on 2+2 and plays high limit games asking this question. I also can't imagine such a person having not outgrown the advice in HPFAP, or at least being able to rethink how it may apply to a specific game. This is a question someone playing 2/4 should be asking, not 75/150.

Ok, I'm even more confused now. The question "Am I a douchebag?" was for the OP.

Ok, so the original poster started by asking an easy yes or no question then opened himself up to get flamed, which nobody here can resist doing for any reason. Fine. But I think his follow up question deserves some discussion. What's the correct strategy? What starting hands should you play? More importantly, what borderline hands should be mucked? If flop is autocapped, is middle or bottom pair good enough to take to the river? Should all draws be played? With a medium strong made hand like top pair good kicker, should you keep the lead on the big streets or play defense?

Big cards big pairs.

draws go down in value. so do small pairs b/c they aren't putting in 4 bets on EVERY street

put in the money when you have high cards and high pairs, also big suited cards. the blinding to death thing is a clear exaggeration. as JA said, its less than you'd think.

put the money in there w/ large cards, big suited ones and big pairs.
