Default am i playing too tight?

40-80 live game im sweating a known 2+2 expert, long time poster. someone limps utg, some kid raises, cutoff cold calls, hero completes in the 2 chip sb $60 more with 22.

ive been dumping this lately from that spot? am i giving up too much?

I tend to think it's close, very dependant on the game.

I'd say this is a call. As long as we're sure that UTG isn't gonna limp/3bet, and the game is good enough to ensure we get paid if we hit I think this is a call. It does require some pretty generous assumptions in terms of implied odds to be consistently correct though.

From reading your posts you seem to like playing marginal hands like this, so I would say it's a call for you. You wouldn't hesitate to play some slightly better pairs from LP in a raised multiway pot, so I'm asking myself how much the partial bet helps and how much position hurts.

Is the two chip (25%) discount playing completely out of position worth it when you have the smallest possible pair and three (or four if the BB calls, you prefer a loose BB) opponents?

It's probably close if you're fairly sure the BB and the first limper aren't the types to pop it again since with the BB's likely call you will get 5.7 to 1. But you're playing to flop a set (I am anyway).

This is standard for me...I'd almost consider calling even without the cold caller.
