....now I'm not sure if I like it.

Villian is a decent player, nothing spectacular. I play with him sometimes. There's also 1 other player at the table with whom I play often. So there's some metagame undertones to this move. But, at face value, what say you?

save it for a different player or when stack sizes allow you to get him all in with it. A decent play might call to take away on the turn, or fold his AQ to that. I think its much better when you have AK for instance and the flop comes A high. He'll bet turn when checked to with an Ace and then feel obligated to call a push with the remainder of his stack. He probably folded this I imagine. If he called you've got a yucky river. I'd prefer a c/c lead river for 1/2 pot here.

i'd much prefer a 2/3 turn lead.

I would save this move for a hyper aggressive player. If you feel the need to be tricky, just call turn lead river.

were you hoping for for a call? a push? or did you want to take it down right there on the turn? what did you expect him to call with?
