0-0 would be pretty strange.

2-0 would be acceptably pretty strange for me.

Those are very reasonable football scores. You should know that..aren't you from England?

I'm assuming pro (NFL) football -- no 2-point conversions

There's a way to score 1 point in college but I forget what it is - does that apply to the NFL too?

Those of you having problems with this, think Unarmed, Mosdef, and Apathy.

There are some fluky ways of getting safeties that don't necessarily require that either of the teams has a particularly good defense (e.g., someone fumbles ball out of the back of the end zone), so I'm not sure 5 points is quite as strange, but yes, 5-5 would be really weird too. (Though I've at least *seen* scores of 5 points, I don't recall ever seeing 4 on a scoreboard.)

Except in that case, assuming I'm getting the right hint here, wouldn't 1-0 be a very normal score?

Not for most of us.

The original post says that you get a beer.

In England you could not have a beer at a football match, so you would have to be in America and therefore playing Soccer

I agree, but I think 1-1 might be more strange than the 1-0
