Buy one of those squishy balls and toss it at the wall.
Also I made a bet that I would not berate anyone for the month of June. I was late a nd three bet Pocket Queens and this maniac called and chased a diamond diamond runner runner to hit his flush. Had no other draw. I said Nice hand and the others at the table berated him and could not understand my comment. I play better when i dont worry about berating guys.

I use to get real heated after a bad beat now i just get up and go get some water or something... profits start coming in if u can control ur badbeats...

What i also do now is i jump on the penny tables with a game i havent played and try to learn the game... or i just go crazy on the penny tables... to let off some of my tilt...while having some fun.....

You've come to the right place for sympathy.

Now I'm no rocket scientist but I know this: a good way to turn "feel bad" into "feel good" is to take the bad energy and put it to good use.

Afraid of thunder storms? Fear is energy. Clean the house during a storm. When the storm is over you've got a clean house.

In this case you could actually figure out how much of a favorite you REALLY were, instead of 95:5 you'll find its really 89:11, and then calculate how many face-value chips you actually earned when he called. Or you could review either this hand or all the hands this player has played and figure out how you could play better next time.

I put a bad beat on a guy heads up in a sit n go and he just quit the game with 1/5 of the chips in play in his stack. That's not the answer. I think of the very few times when I smacked someones aces for all their chips and it helps me deal.

This is how I deal with bad beats:

1) the idiots will draw out on me from time to time, if I'm playing my A-game then well, that's poker (I repeat this to myself)
or if I'm still totally pissed off and want to do bodily harm to the idiot:
2) get up and walk away, temporarily, or if I'm knocked out then a complete break from poker is my only salvation from tilt.

Bottom line for me: if I'm pissed off to the max then I know I will not be playing my best and that will result in even more loses. So I get away for whatever time it takes to calm me down ie 10 minutes, a day or 2 (after a truly heart wrenching beat).

You should also take heart in that statement made by Chris Ferguson, he said that the better you are the more likely you'll have bad beats because only the truly long shots will have a chance to beat you.

Well, typically I listen to the berating that the sore loser will inevitably type into the chat.

something like... "You are a terrible player and must lose a lot!"

Then I generally agree that the sore loser has a correct anlysis of my play

Then I wait for the sore loser to put in a final parting shot. Usually some attempt to degrade me by calling me a homosexual in some way or another. Normally this is where they leave the table and tell themselves how good they are.
