Re: Best item to bring to a BBQ?
[ QUOTE ]
I personally opt for a fish -usually trout-unless the host insists on doing all the grilling themselves otherwise I go for potato salad. [/ QUOTE ] Fish - for real? If you don't eat red meat or chicken I guess this would be ok... Edited to say: Yeah, I changed my mind. It isn't ok to bring fish to a bbq ever. Too many people dislike the stuff and won't eat anything else cooked on that grill. |

I don't care for the Canadian light, but you can swing by my BBQ tomorrow just the same.

Loc: New Jersey [/ QUOTE ] And you roll up with a cooler full of Canadian beer? You are either a very educated American (I'll disount the "light" aspect of your beer) or a lost Canadian. Just follow the sounds of "eh?" and you'll find yourself home soon if it's the later. |

Re: Best item to bring to a BBQ?
As it happend I ended up bringing apple pie and tortilla chips.
The reason I did not say beer at the time was that it was an academic function at the home of the department head so I figured it wasn't the best time to bring alcohol. As it turns out, a wide variety of non-objectionable beers was avaliable. |
