What are the typical games spread @ 10-20 and higher.

They've got Holdem, Omaha, and one 1-5 Stud game. I know they get a 15-30 Omaha, but I don't know how often that gets spread. I don't really know much more about Omaha.

Holdem spreads 3/6, 6/12, 10/20, and occasionally 20/40, as well as a couple no-limit games. The room is almost entirely 3/6 with one or two tables of 6/12 and 10/20 and a table or two of no-limit, in addition to the Omaha and Stud games. I wouldn't count on there being a 20/40, but it does run occasionally.

edit: They've also got a 4/8 split Holdem/Omaha game too.

I will be there late July and early Aug and I want to get in a couple of sessions when I get off work.

Does anyone know what the average wait time to join a 3/6 games ? Also, are the pretty loose/tight?

Any thought would help...

I absolutely hated the 3/6 game, but I do know that the list was usually at least 15-20 people long and sometimes more. Luckily for you, they have about 2349649769476 3/6 tables at any given time, so the list goes through pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info.. I won't be playing everyday but i will be in town for about 20 days so I hopefully the tables aren't that bad that i could play a couple of times.. anything is better then the tables I can play near Orlando...

Oh the games are good - the 3/6 is maybe "too" good. Expect some big swings. I personally am a fan of the 6/12 and, on the weekends, the 10/20.

I'm not there as much as Patrick...but the 3/6 games are a regular tourist/conventioneer donk-fest to the extreme every time I have played there.
This, I'm pretty sure, if what Patrick means by 'oh the games are good.'
To be more accurate about it imo....the 3/6 games can be pretty freaking insane.

Precisely. I can't stand to play there, they're so "good". Well, I wouldn't play there anyway, because I'd rather be at 6/12 or 10/20, but I did play the 3/6 once or twice while I was waiting and it was just excruciating. I will never play the 3/6 again, even if the wait for 6/12 or 10/20 is 3 hours long.

The 3/6 can either bring a lot of short-term misery or make you feel like a genius.

6/12 is more rational (though you simply never know), though also quite good, but the games have trouble sustaining themselves due to their middle-child status between 3/6 and 10/20.

I must agree that the 3/6 is horrible. At least 7-8 callers on every flop. Luck only wins at this level at this casino. Raises are of no effect, and expaect all 7-8 that limped to call a raise no problem. You MUST have the cards in the 3/6 at Harrah's. And even if you do, expect more than usual suck outs on the river b/c these people have no f'n clue. The 6/12 is much better and usually the "lucky" ones playing the 3/6 will give it a try if they're up. The 10/20 is a little tougher, but the touring business men can make it attractive.
