Default 5/10 Deep with AA

5/10 6-max.

Villain is pretty good, solid and tricky.

Hero is in the SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Villain is MP somewhere

Hero has about 2k, and villain covers.

Preflop
1 limper, villain makes it 40 to go, folded to hero who makes it 140 to go, only villain calls

Flop (300)
6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero 200, villain call

Turn (700)
7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
hero check, villain 250, hero call

River (1300)
8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
hero check, villain 500, hero call

I dont really like my turn and river line, what do you good players do here ?

I like a turn check raise, and fold to a 3 bet (usually).

Check/call the river, or possibly a decent sized blockish type bet, although im more inclined to check/call that river bet-- people love bluffing 4-to a straight.

If it goes - turn - check, 250, I raise 750, call. then the pot is 2200 and I have about 900-1000 left.

You are looking to play for your stack here every time ?

There's nothing wrong with your line except that it doesn't maximize your win vs. KK/QQ.

On the turn he's either got you beat or has two outs, so not raising him doesn't cost you anything unless he's going to call allin with a smaller pp.

Im not sure I did too well here. I think I should fold the river, as it should be pretty clear to villain what my hand is, given how I played it, so he shouldnt value bet the river with a worse hand than mine. Maybe lead the river myself for 500 and fold a raise would be best? KK/QQ probably call out of curiosity, and if raised then surely Im beat .... ?

Villain had 66 for flopped top set.

Maybe bet turn and fold a raise, or check/call turn and lead river would be best.

Any comments on check/call turn and lead river ?
