On Making a Difference

Before anything flows, there must be a difference. Water flows between different elevations. Electrons flow between different voltages. Air flows between different pressures. Before money will flow to you, you have to make a difference.

Wires and pipes are used to direct the flow of electrons and water to where they are needed.

Banks are used to direct the flow of money - away from people who don't own banks.

You need lower elevation than the bank. Try standing in the gutter!

What if there is an strong outside influence, like gravity or heat, that causes the flow to reverse direction? Like a force, so strong and respected, it cannot be ignored, what then?

Seems to me like you would need to then find a spot where your difference mattered again.
