sure thing (thanks by the way). part of good goal setting is to write them down, review them, and break them down into smaller goals etc. in order for me to hit 2k by sept 1st, i will need to play 351 sngs per week. if i find that on a thursday, for instance, that i have only played 125 sngs, then i am going to need to play more sngs to catch up to my weekly goal. the easiest way to do this of course is to play continuously as i believe i will be able to get in an extra 2 sngs in per hour.

gotcha. For some reason i came to the conclusion you were referring to $$$ when u said ahead/behind. I always play "continuous" so was wondering if there was something i was missing. thanks!

Best of luck.

I would recomend playing them in sets, over time it becomes easier and now I usually won't play unless I can play continously for a few hours. I'll be 6 tabling the 50's as well, so it looks like they could be a little congested for the next few weeks. I'll be playing under ThugangelX and IeatDonks, and I surely wouldn't mind avoiding one another.

Gl again,

Bonafone

"If I decide to take 2 days off a week that means that I will have to play 9 sets of Sngs per day when 8 tabling."

Damn man don't do that. That's 8-9 hrs a day.

If you played every day in sets that's still 6hrs a day.

Do yourself a favour and play them continously. It shouldn't be much harder (I don't think it's any harder) but the extra turnover makes a big difference, and you'll only be working 4 and a half hrs a day (which makes 2k VERY doable).

Default Update #1 500 played

I had a very rough start to my challenge, I pretty much broke even for the first 500. There was a while in which I would lose every time I was all in regardless of whether I was a fav, a dog, or even money. So without further ado, here are some stats.

Poker summary 55s

ROI -0.5%

ITM 36.0%

Total Tourneys 500
Multitable utilization 3.72
Total entries $27,500.00
Total prizes $27,350.00
SNG Profit -$150.00

$/Tourney -$0.30
# hrs 96.82
$/hr -$1.55
Avg Finish 4.64
Bubble % +/- -4.1%

My finish distribution:
1st 8.4% 42
2nd 12.2% 61
3rd 15.4% 77
4th 14.8% 74
5th 13.4% 67
6th 12.8% 64
7th 10.2% 51
8th 7.2% 36
9th 3.0% 15
10th 2.6% 13

I took so many bad beats itm that it was sickening, there was a spot where I pushed itm with top pair on the flop 7 consecutive times, only to get called by a draw that would hit. Variance is fun. Also, I had connection problems for a couple that ended up costing me 5 sngs which very easily could have put me in the black.

As far as the amount played gos, I have been working for my buddy a little this month as he had needed the help, and I enjoy the exercise, so I have been a little bit slow. Also, this stretch was done mnostly 4 tabling, I imagine that as I get closer to crunch time I will start 8 tabling and will have several 250 sng weekends.

These numbers look VERY similar (almost exact percentage wise) for me in the 55s through my last 150.
