prefrop is marginal from euch an EP

question: why are you raising the flop? your eliminating the people that will pay you off when you make your flush by making them face 2 bets.

My thoughts

Preflop: Fold. If the table is loose passive a limp is okay, but normally you shouldn't play Axs from EP.

Flop: Call. Don't raise here, you are knocking out your customers for when the flush comes.

Turn and River are standard.

Question: If you know everyone will call your raise, and you won't get re-raised again on the flop, is raising now EV?

In that case it is probably +EV, but it is close.

We are about 2:1 to make our flush by the river. With 3 other players putting in money we are getting 3:1 on each dollar we put in the pot, so yes we make a profit on the flop money that goes in, assuming we win everytime we hit our flush.

However the board is paired, and sometimes we can make our flush and still lose to a full house, so we need to be aware of that. This makes it very close, but it's probably still slightly +EV with the small overlay we are getting of 3:1.

Although having everybody come along for two bets cold on the flop is unlikely.

If one player drops out, then we are only getting 2:1 on our flop bets, and that is probably not enough to justify pumping our flush draw on a paired board.
