My computer is running slowly after playing tournies
1.21 GHZ AMD Athlon
512 megs of ram When I'm updating my PT files (or running playerview while playing limit games w/ PT) my computer bottlenecks. Do I need a new computer? By new computer I mean components such as processor, motherboard, RAM. holla |

Re: My computer is running slowly after playing tournies
Well, I'm no expert (I "built" my own computer, but that doesn't really qualify me), but I doubt that this stuff is what's bogging your cpu down. If you're using windows, use the task manager to find out which process(es) are eating up the cpu's time. You may have a bunch of junk running in the background that you are unaware of. Do you have spysweeper or something like it? If not, I'm almost sure extraneous background tasks are the problem.
512 M is "enough" memory, but there is no such thing as too much. you might add some more and see if it helps. |

It's exhausted. Haven't you seen the pros dragging away from the tables when they lose?

Re: My computer is running slowly after playing tournies
No, but you need more RAM. Pokertracker runs much better with a gig of RAM. Luckily, that won't cost you much.
