Arnold Spee

http://www.worldpokertour.com/player...mp;search=spee

Arnold Spee is a professional poker player who lives in Thousand Oaks, California.

A Chicago native, Spee quit a good job in marketing and advertising – “hated every minute of it” – to devote himself to his dream job: poker. He began playing daily tournaments in Los Angeles card rooms, and in three years has improved to the point where he’s made his first WPT final table in Reno.

The only thing Spee ever considered as an alternate career was that of police detective, predominantly due to a love of solving puzzles. Similar to his prime poker attribute: the ability to tell if his opponent is lying or telling the truth.

Arnold Spee stats
Season Casino WPT Event Place WPT Pts Winnings
Season 3 Reno Hilton World Poker Challenge 1 1,000 $650,500
Season 3 total: 1,000 $650,500
Total: $650,500

May as well throw my stuff in there.

Age: 31 (August 1st, so I'll be 32 in a couple days)

I live in: San Francisco. In the Sunset. While Sossman was sweating through 90-100 degree days in Fremont, it was 60, cool, and gray here.

Status: Engaged. Sorry Ladies. Don't live together, but are going to start looking for a place shortly.

Occupation: As far as money goes, it's just poker. I'm also a returning student to San Francisco State in Broadcasting. I was a technical writer for 8 years. Surviving in San Francisco on just poker income is difficult and stressful. I don't recommend.

Favorite Movies: Moulin Rouge, Kill Bill I&II, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Forbidden Zone.

Best Poker Accomplishment: I guess placing 3rd in a Super Thursday for about $9300. Also won a number of $100 buy-in tournaments that each netted me 3-4K. I'd have more specifics, but they were lost in the Great Hard Drive Crash of '05.

Other: I am the greatest Karaoke singer who has ever lived.

8th out of 1570 in a 20+2 on party for $628... this was the early morning of my 17th birthday. ended it like 3am of a school day. after that, i set a goal of $1000 in may and hit it..then blew most of it on blackjack.

also getting $530 off of friends in .25/.50 nl cash games and a some $5 tournaments.

Also..some people said i had a gambling problem (sportsbetting, poker, and blackjack).. I said i could quit anytime like any compulsive gambler would and said i kept doing it because i needed cash because i didnt have a job anymore... so i quit for 3 months to prove them wrong. spent my bankroll and now i'm slowly getting back into the game cause i need money again
