Default Ptracker question on Position Stats

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Pokertracker, and I've been reviewing my position stats. After ~20K hands,

I'm losing copious amounts in SB across games and limits (I play 1K NLHE and 30-60 limit HE mostly), and I'm losing in the BB at limit, while winning a bit in NL. I am winning money in all other positions, and there is a direct correlation between the quality of my position and the amount won.

What interest me most are the blinds; if you don't include the money required to post the blind, I'm way up in both positions, but way down if you do (at limit poker). This seems unavoidable if you are folding your blinds with the correct frequency. Does that make sense?

In NL, the difference is even more pronounced: I'm losing 15K overall in the SB (up 6K not including the forced amount), and winning 3K in the BB (but up 45K not incl. the forced amount). Are these stats about right, or are they indicative of a leak?

I don't have my stats in front of me, but my numbers look pretty similar.

Doesn't mean it's not a leak, but at least you're not the only one.

Does it really seem that surprizing, though?

I'm not sure about the exact figures, but losing money when including posting the BB in your calculations is completely normal. Think about how many countless BBs you are folding to BB raises, or seeing a flop with a trash hand and folding to a flop bet. The fact that you are a winning player when you don't take the blind into consideration shows you that there is no leak in playing from that position. Simply the cost of the blinds.

It's pretty typical, it's a very, very rare player who's actually positive out of the SB and I don't know of ANY at the 10/20 NL level that are positive out of the BB that are regulars.

I'm -.07 in BB and - .04 in SB, overall I'm positive 5.14 PTBB/100 (that's for NL 400 and NL 600 on pp 6 max)

-0.04 BB +0.08 SB

Hooray for small sample sizes. I'm +0.04 UTG (all of this is 6-max). I guess I should start posting UTG or something?
