Default standard here?

UTG is laggy (38/29) but not stupid laggy, kind of knows what he is doing postflop. that being said, he still plays overcards and small pp on a raggedy board pretty aggressively in position i think.

too much or too little or just right?

I don't see what you're doing on the turn. You can't just call this down?

He's preventing a free card if villain chooses to check with overcards, which he could easily have. If villain has an overpair he will often just call anyway, fearing the 9. I think hero's play is reasonable. If it's someone who would never raise with a worse hand, bet/fold seems reasonable, but I'm not sure this is the case here. If villain would continue to bet AK and the like on the turn but not raise with that, hero should check.
