Grunch:

I don't like it. With 5 people seeing the flop I don't see K high being good here anywhere near enough for this to be +EV. I think you got lucky.

Yeah, I'm suprised everyone likes the flop bet. I'm pretty sure I'm an autobettor and even I would check.

Here is the thing I do. Set your HUD so it can display aggression by street. There is a certain type of players whose aggression can be broken down to 0.2/0.2/3.5 or something like that. They usually have VPIP over 50. If that's the case, bet on river with high card strength is highly recommended.

In your case, I like your value bet on the river.

That's not a value bet.

Its a semibluff bet at best and these kinds of steals dont pay off very often IMHO. He could even have A high and stick with it to the end.

I wont do this with so many people seing the flop/turn.

You can't semi-bluff on the river.

I like it all except the river bet - I would check/fold against a passive opponent and check/call against an aggressive one.

If you were in early position I would not like the flop bet, but 3 of your opponents have already shown weakness and the board is fairly ragged. On the turn I fire one last shot because the flush possibility will scare off some opponents.

I concur w/ this comment. I'd bet out on the flop and turn, then I'd check/fold the river. Against a passive opponent, K-high probably isn't good to a bet especially in a ring game. This seems like a situation where only a better hand would call and a worse would fold. He called the flop and the turn, why wouldn't he do the same on the river if he had a piece of it?

But since I'm the King of Results Orientation...In this hand, CO could been on a one card flush draw picked up on the turn. Or if he actually had a hand better than yours, he could have had a pair of 3s/4s that he didn't think were good against you.

Against a calling station I think it is a value bet.

But you can cap the river for information!

If you bet the river and he calls what percentage of the time do you think you're taking this pot?
