Default Bad play HU?

20+2 Party

Hero slightly covering villian.
Blinds 400/800 (? - memory here)
Preflop 22 to Hero in BB

Villain raises to 1600.

Hero pushes.

Only read on the villain is that he was very tight pre-bubble time and VERY aggressive post bubble.

Villain called and showed AKo- results are inconsequential.

I'm split here as to what my best play was. If I go all-in as I did I have a good shot of my opp. folding. If he does call my best hope is a coin flip and pray he doesn't have any pocket pair.

I think I would push. The chances that he has a hand to call with are usually pretty slim, and if he does call the odds are usually great that you are at least a slight favourite.

I might consider a stop-n-go here.

Since he almost certainly has a couple overcards, you can often turn a coinflip situation into more of a 60/40 since he may fold the flop and miss 2 chances to outdraw you.

Id have an easier time giving advice if I knew how many chips people had. Also I assume this is either not a 1 table tournament or you got the blinds wrong, as there is no 400-800 blind level.

He says he is slightle covering the villian, so I'd assume the stacks were something like 4400-3600.

Yes but the blinds cannot be 400-800, so I thought it may be a multi table sit and go with more chips involved.

Ok the blind amounts are wrong - it was a single table SNG. I need to lookup it up when I go home. Blinds were relatively high though and it was a raise by villain to 2x BB and then I pushed.

I don't know where you got the idea that blinds can't be 400-800. I have plenty of hands in my poker tracker at that level from Party Poker.
