Default Safe 2 Say (Karma)

I was wondering this...

Fundamentally, if you're a christian, can you believe in Karma? or is that contradicting yourself?

I don't know much about christianity, but I ASSUMED that it meant that God was in the drivers seat, and whatever happened was completely in his control, and there's no flip side to it. I have more than a few friends who are Christians, but when something happens that fits the correct mold, they are quick to say "KARMA".

If they're indeed christians they shouldn't be thinking this way at all right?
