Default Calculating odds and counting outs in split-pot games.

Yeah, I'm an idiot so I'll ask. How do you properly estimate your equity in Omaha/8 and Stud/8?

EDIT: I've been counting "scoop" outs as full, and "split" outs as half. Is it as simple as that?
