Player referrals at Pokerroom
One of my friends is just starting out at pokerroom and he wants me to sign up so he can get referral money. I have no problem with this assuming I can clear a deposit bonus and make some money too. Do I have to play a certain number of hands before he gets the referral money. If I take my money out after I clear a deposit bonus, will we both get the money?

Re: Player referrals at Pokerroom
Why the hell would you do a referral when you can setup an affiliate?
Not smart. Setup the affiliate and cut the profits if you must. Then recruit your buddies. -Ryan |

Re: Player referrals at Pokerroom
This isn't supposed to be a big thing. My friend is very new to poker and deposited like 20 bucks, so 50 would really help him. I'm willing to put some money in to help him out and I'm hoping I can get a deposit bonus at the same time. So I'm not really looking to set up an affiliate. Also, if I am referred, can I even still get a deposit bonus?

Re: Player referrals at Pokerroom
You and your friend each have to collect 150 player points in order to receive the referral money. You can also receive a first deposit bonus on top of the referral bonus. Player points accumulate very slowly at the lower limits. Basically you get a half a point if the pot reaches $10 and a full point when it reaches $20. If your friend is playing .25/.50, forget about it. If either of you are playing .50/1.00 it could take a while but you will get there. At 1/2 or above however, points start to accumulate pretty quickly. |
