The Ultimate Bubble Hand
Can't believe I actually ran into this situation. From last night:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) converter Villain (t7838) BB (t3495) Hero (t1954) Button (t213) Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises to t800, 1 fold, SB (Villain)/ raises to t4000, 1 fold, Hero ??? |

Re: The Ultimate Bubble Hand
PUSH!!!!!!! You double up here and you have a good shot at first place. You lose and you finish 4th, start up another SnG and laugh off the loss.

PS, you are banned from the forums if you didn't push this... [/ QUOTE ] lol Whew - I pushed. The fact that he called and hit a set of Kings on the flop hurt. Especially since it was my last hand of the night. I will always push with Aces. But I would be surprised if there's someone out there who wouldn't fold. ITM is 2 or 3 hands away. I would love to hear that argument. |

Re: The Ultimate Bubble Hand
so what's your question? are you worried about being knocked out of tournamnet as 4:1 favorite?
with coinflipping hands like TT/AK/AQ, this MAYBE debatable, but with AA/KK there is no question. you gotta realize you will win over 80% of the time and doubling up means higher chance of you taking home the 1st place. if you lose, go register for next sng. simple as that. |
